| eHealth Global works with medical centers to help them gain access to records for patient's referred into their clinical departments for continuity of care. That means that we may have to ask your department for medical records for patients such that they can precede the patient to the clinical department to which they have been referred. We collect all the relevant records for the ongoing treatment of the patient (typically from multiple medical facilities), organize them, and provide them electronically to the requesting facility. |

Under the Privacy Rule, covered entities are permitted to use or disclose protected health information (PHI) for treatment, payment, or health care operations without an authorization. Notably, a covered entity may disclose protected health information for its own treatment or for the treatment activities of another health care provider. (45 C.F.R. §164.501). We ask for your cooperation in the retrieval of these records, as the timely delivery of these records impacts patient care directly. At eHealth Global, we try hard to make the delivery process as easy and efficient as possible…and you will find it much easier to deal with eHealth Global’s professional customer support staff compared to harried administrative and healthcare personnel at the medical facilities themselves.
