Plan to Streamline Medical Record
Collection with eHealth Global
Technologies' Service
ROCHESTER, N.Y., February 5,
2008 -eHealth Global Technologies,
Inc. today announced that it
has signed contracts with Rush
University Medical Center, University
of California, San Diego Medical
Center and University of Minnesota
Medical Center, Fairview to
provide its eHealthConnect®
service to departments within
the facility or health system.
The eHealthConnect service provides
medical records and imaging
study collection by eHealth
Global's clinical customer support
team for patients that are referred
to these facilities. These records
and images are then digitized
and made accessible over eHealth
Global's secure, internet-based
viewing system.
Transplant programs have a
critical need to gather prior
patient pathology, lab and radiology
reports and images to support
the process for a patient's
organ transplantation listing.
eHealthConnect allows these
facilities to obtain the information,
evaluate the patients, and get
them listed in a more timely
manner.
"We are honored that these
leading institutions have selected
our eHealthConnect service to
streamline the collection and
management of referred patients'
medical records," stated
Michael Margiotta, Chief Executive
Officer of eHealth Global. "This
service can not only reduce
the facility's cost to obtain
patient records, but more importantly,
increase patient satisfaction
by easing the burden placed
on the patient during a stressful
time in their lives." |
